CARA JONES - New American Music Born in Japan

FM Fan - March 6-19, 2000

With an interest in Japanese culture and language, Cara Jones first came to Japan as an exchange student. Later, she went on to become a radio personality on J-Wave, bay fm, FM Yokohama, while writing songs for commercials and even announcing at the award ceremonies of the1998 Winter Olympic games in Nagano.

Recently, she has written English lyrics for The Yellow Monkey singles "Sugar Fix" and "Bulb", as well as songs for Yusa Mimori and Kaneko Harumi and others.

That same Cara Jones has shown us her true musical character with her latest album release, "NOW" from Morani/Warner Records.

With her smooth vocals, she has created a feel-good album to introduce her brand of American singer-songwriter music.
